Star Gladiator 2 - Nightmare of Bilstein
  Original Soundtrack
 Suleputer CPCA-1008 May 21, 1998

(Corroborated by its entry in 2012-04-22
version of the BridgeM1 List Pack. Note that
tracks 60 and 61 are not listed on the
soundtrack, but they play in-game during the
 attacks I've labeled them with.)

Generated using M1 0.7.9a1 (modded by
Valley Bell).

Star Gladiator was Capcom's first attempt at
a 3D fighter, clunky as it was. For its
sequel, in an apparent effort to attract
Street Fighter players, Capcom made it play
more like a 2D fighter. Unfortunately, they
did so in the clumsiest manner they could,
and on top of that, they cut a lot of corners
to get there. Not only does this game use the
same exact models as the previous game one
year after Tekken 3 made them dated, but
around half of the cast are just model swaps
of the other half with different super moves!
And then Capcom did a straight port for the
Dreamcast in 2000... a year after the Soul
Calibur remake dazzled the industry and came
out in the U.S. as a launch title. Either way
you put it, the odds were against Capcom the
whole time.

Oh, well, at least they got a decent metal
soundtrack out of it! It's not as good as the
previous game's more varied soundtrack, but it
should still provide some good listening. It
took some work to put this pack together, as
you can see by the sheer size of the track
list -- much of them ending themes, some of
which took some effort to properly loop.
I actually finished these back in December
2012, but I was going to re-rip them using
MAME instead of M1 -- only to find that in
MAME, the songs play slightly slower. And so,
I decided to release what I had in December,
apart from redoing the Next Stage .vgm to
correct its looping. Enjoy!
